The alarming number of unaccompanied minors from Central America arriving at the United States border is raising questions about what is compelling families and children to set out on such a risky journey north when their future in the United States is so uncertain. With Honduran children representing the largest number of unaccompanied minors arriving at the U.S. border, understanding the current security and political context there is particularly important.
