Bradley Reynolds is a doctoral researcher who works at the intersection of research, policy, and civic engagement. His research focuses on European security politics in the 1990s, offering policy-relevant historical analysis in the tradition of Applied History. He has published political analysis for the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, the 浪花直播 Center鈥檚 Kennan Institute, Security and Human Rights Monitor, Riddle, and Finland鈥檚 leading daily newspaper, Helsingin Sanomat. His academic work has been published in leading international forums such as European Security, Cold War History, The Oral History Review, and H-Diplo/Robert Jervis International Security Studies Forum.
Bradley is on the board of two Finnish NGOs鈥攖he Finnish Oral History Network (FOHN) and Historians without Borders (HwB). At HwB, Bradley leads the project OSCE by All, funded by the Finnish MFA. He is also a founding member of the HwB project, 鈥楬istory in Exile: Dialogue on Russian Memory and History Politics in the Nordic and Baltic Countries鈥, funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers. Bradley is a member of the European Leadership Network's Younger Generation Leaders Network, the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs鈥 South Caucasus network of researchers and practitioners, as well as the Finnish OSCE network coordinated by the Finnish Institute of International Affairs.
Bradley holds a BA in History and Sociology from Bates College, Lewiston, Maine, U.S.A., and a MSSc in Political History and Russian Studies from the University of Helsinki.
