President Donald Trump鈥檚 second term began on January 20 with a focus on Latin America. His inaugural address touched on tariffs and migration, including the return of the 鈥淩emain in Mexico鈥 policy and a demand for US control of the Panama Canal. His first Executive Orders included the declaration of a national emergency at the US-Mexico border and a preliminary step toward declaring Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations. In the meantime, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that his first trip would be to Central America.
